By providing social services within the community, Suporta is contributing to the humanization of persons with mental health issues, as well as to their inclusion in society.

The Suporta Association –
Past – Present – Future

We changed our name from “Susret” to “Suporta” in order to differentiate ourselves from “The Susret Community” – a private organization for the prevention and treatment of drug, alcohol and other psychoactive substance addiction.

We are active in the City of Zagreb and provide housing support in five rented apartments. Direct support is provided by educated personnel, including occupational therapists, a social worker, a psychologist, and a community worker. In time we plan on increasing this service and expanding the territory in which we provide our services. Each and every one of us can contribute to change and the creation of a society for all.

Come meet us up close

The “Susret” Association was established in 2006 with the goal of providing support within the community for persons with mental issues. We began by providing organized housing with support. The development of social services within a community is a crucial requirement to prevent persons with mental issues from being institutionalized, deinstitutionalization of those who are, and the destigmatization of mental illness. We collaborate with other associations, organizations and prominent individuals who promote life within the society for all.
